“Tips to maximize your time”
-Have all songs prepared, making sure everyone knows their parts. -Have players rehearse and practice parts as much as possible. -Make sure everyone agrees to song structure and concepts. -Make sure instruments are also prepared before your session. That means have new strings on guitars and allow time for them to stretch, change your drum heads, etc. -Bring extra strings and drum sticks. -Take care of any squeaks in the drum pedal, or unwanted sounds in the drum kit. -If your guitar player is going to use alternate tunings, consider bringing an extra guitar with fresh strings to save time. -Bounce to audio all tracks that depend on software instruments or effects. -If you plan on bringing your own instrumental, have all the individual parts bounced down to 44.1 khz or 88.2 khz 24-bit wav. files, making sure that they line up. |
