Sweet Spot Studio began in 2003 inside the home of owner James Fox. The Sweet Spot was in its infant stage, yet even so it was the preferred recording studio for several prominent local bands in the Tampa Bay area, including Clenchfist, Fable, Payload, e-merge, The Show, Altrasound & Deception amongst many others. Those who recorded there can recall the “sweat box”, the vocal/isolation booth that didn’t even have air conditioning! Despite the heat the Sweet Spot produced high quality recordings, which quickly gained notoriety amongst the local musical community. Since those humble beginnings the Sweet Spot has evolved a great deal. Our new location has provided the opportunity to improve upon the original setup. A new isolation booth (with AC), a “live” room with a high ceiling and excellent soundproofing, and a comfortable control room are amongst the most obvious innovations the new Sweet Spot has to offer. Each room has been designed for maximized acoustic excellence, allowing for high quality recording, mixing, and mastering. |
